PROJECT PROPOSAL FORM
Thanks for your interest in Circle of Women. We work with in-country collaborators—individual volunteers who communicate with workers, visit the site, and have experience with similar endeavors—as we fund-raise and spread the word about our cause.
If you are interested in starting a Project under the umbrella of our organization, please answer and email us the questions below so we can get on the same page and get the discussion ball rolling!
We offer you:
- A network of college and recent college alums who have researched, organized, and raised money for Project Wonkhai.
- An existing charitable infrastructure, such as our 501(c)3 status, annual fund-raising and awareness raising campaigns, and a website, which we can update regularly to reflect your progress.
- The fund-raising expertise of the collaborators of Project Wonkhai and Sally Livingston, a professional fund-raising advisor.
Preliminary Questions:
(Please offer a working name for your Project to facilitate discussion).
• Where will your Project be? Do you speak the local language or have you visited? (Not a problem if you don’t or haven’t!).
• Project Wonkhai hopes to address the absence of girls’ schools in Afghanistan, where female literacy is only 12% (UNICEF). What specific need will your school fill?
• Who will serve as your collaborator? What do you know about his or her experience with similar work? If you haven’t found a collaborator, or don’t plan on working with one, what do you suggest as an alternative?
• We try to combine fund-raising with awareness-raising through informational campaigns. Please suggest a few fund-raising initiatives that will appeal to the groups you intend to target.
• How would you attract potential “members,” or volunteers to work with you? How often would you meet?
We look forward to hearing from you! Please email your response to circumference@circleofwomen.org.
